Shelli Sexton (41) Day 1 * Training

Ran 7.5 miles @ 4:30 am this morning with local running friends. Really sore legs! I took Mon. -Weds. off from running after our Grand Canyon Adventure run on Sunday. I logged 75 miles total last week, but the Grand Canyon run consisted of 45 of the miles. The GC run took Rachael and I, 18 hours to complete. This was the longest training run for me to date, actually 10 miles farther and 10 hours longer of running than I have ever completed before.

1)This afternoon I have another 4-5 miles scheduled to run; type of run- time on feet.
I also, have weight training for 45 minutes this afternoon.
2) Tomorrow mornings run will be flat, tempo run @ 8:00-8:30 pace for 10 miles. Running with LT along the Gage Canal.

I really think this is cool. If I have time this weekend, I will go back over my training log and blog my miles since Sept. 08, races I have done and cool training runs with team members. That might be a great way to get us all started, if every team member put down last months highlights and started keeping daily plans for the next day's run, then notes about that run. It sure would be cool to see how everyone is doing on their training and I would love to have other teammates keep me accountable. Yeh, we are one step closer....
